Meet the Team

  • Jacob founded Perspective Fund in 2014 and currently serves as CEO. He leads the development of Perspective's cross-medium funding strategy, which seeks to leverage the impact potential of story through measurable and innovative models. As Perspective continues to grow, his team mission is to carry forward the values cultivated from initial Documentary Film funding; expanding Perspective’s portfolio to include additional media formats, organizational partners, researchers and tools.

  • Eliana works in close partnership with the CEO to build the operational and financial systems critical for Perspective’s growth and sustainability. In her role, she oversees the design, cultivation, and implementation of internal systems and inclusive culture as well as the day-to-day running of the foundation, including grant-making and compliance. In addition, she manages high-level strategic planning and works cross-departmentally in operational decision-making and organizational planning for Perspective’s continued growth.

  • Overseeing Perspective Fund's direct film support (DFS) grantmaking, Andrew is responsible for tracking and identifying independently produced documentary projects that are well positioned to reach social justice-oriented impact and distribution objectives. Working with grantees to provide financial and logistical resources across all stages of production, a primary interest of his work is to support healthier workflows between film completion and campaign implementation. He seeks to recommend and structure robust grants that leverage existing team strengths and expertise, and capitalize on opportunities for highly-informed audience building and responsive campaign planning.

  • Denae oversees Perspective Fund's Infrastructure program which supports organizations and initiatives advancing the non-fiction media impact ecosystem. From funding organizations executing innovative, movement-driven modes of distribution to collaborating with partners in the field to foster an inclusive and sustainable space for impact media creators and practitioners to execute their critical work, the Infrastructure program takes a holistic approach to maximizing collective media impact.

  • Abby supports the Perspective Fund team in creating a dynamic ecosystem of risk-taking storytellers and organizations that use media to advance positive social change. She manages Perspective Fund's G.R.O.W. (Grantee Resources for Operational Wellbeing) program, which supports grantees beyond financial assistance, offering tailored services that reflect their needs and align with Perspective's Documentary portfolio strategies. She also manages organization-wide projects related to programmatic work, and strives to grow the teams capacity to champion creatively equitable, collaborative, and accountable models of movement building.

  • Eden provides day-to-day administrative support for the members of the Program team, including website maintenance, supporting core operational processes, and managing email inbox for general inquiries about Perspective Fund.
